The second-largest Alaskan city is a great place to view the Northern Lights, also called aurora borealis. Fairbanks was founded in 1901 by Captain E. T. Barnette and was named after Indiana politician and one-time U.S. vice president Charles Fairbanks. Points of interest within the city and nearby are Pioneer Park, Museum of the North, Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge, IceAlaska Ice Park, Santa Claus House, and Goldstream Dredge No. 8.

Murphy Dome Northern Lights Overview
This aurora tour takes you to one of the most famous Northern Lights viewing spots in Fairbanks. Murphy Dome is located north northwest of town.
The top of Murphy Dome (elevation 2930 feet) is a United States Air Force General Surveillance Radar station (closed to the public).
Join us as we will leave the city lights behind in our comfortable and spacious vans as we head to this awesome northern lights viewing area.
We are not able to guarantee the Northern Lights viewing and please understand that there are no Restroom facilities available in the area. The guide can make a stop before driving out of town, if requested. We are providing toilet paper for anyone who needs to go in the nature.

There are no restroom facilities at the location or close to the location! We will try to provide you with an extra restroom stop before leaving town. For persons with medical issues, we recommend to take the Aurora Lodge viewing tour.
The Murphy Dome is an area and there is no building and not a lodge. You will be waiting in the van for the Northern Lights to come out.
We can not guarantee the Northern Lights will be visible
To receive a full refund, travelers may cancel up to 48 hours before the experience start date in the local time zone. No refunds will be given after that time period.

NO SHOWS/ UNUSED SERVICE/ LATE SHOW UP
Punctuality is extremely important when traveling with a group. Our waiting policy at pick-up is 15 minutes. If guests do not arrive within that time, it is considered a no-show and no refund will be given. This policy pertains to all our tours, including tours beginning from our property.
Any pre-booked/reserved service not checked-in for is considered a no-show and no refund will be issued.

Northern Lights is amazing and the “tilted” star constellations (because I lived at much southern area of the States) was a “surprise”.
