The second-largest Alaskan city is a great place to view the Northern Lights, also called aurora borealis. Fairbanks was founded in 1901 by Captain E. T. Barnette and was named after Indiana politician and one-time U.S. vice president Charles Fairbanks. Points of interest within the city and nearby are Pioneer Park, Museum of the North, Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge, IceAlaska Ice Park, Santa Claus House, and Goldstream Dredge No. 8.
Hot Spring / Aurora Tour Overview
Join us on one of our most requested Northern Lights tours as we travel to the famous Chena Hot Springs Resort. Located 60 scenic miles from downtown Fairbanks.
A guided tour through the Aurora Ice Museum (open year round) displaying magnificent ice sculptures will leave you amazed. Then enjoy a meal at the restaurant which offers locally cultivated vegetables and Alaska caught wild salmon (not included in price).
Afterwards soak in the Chena Hot Springs Resort’s legendary healing mineral waters.

When you’re done soaking in the hot springs take a short stroll up to the Aurorium to watch the beautiful and breathtaking Aurora Borealis dance overhead in the dark nights (visibility of Northern Lights not guaranteed).

To receive a full refund, travelers may cancel up to 48 hours before the experience start date in the local time zone. No refunds will be given after that time period.

NO SHOWS/ UNUSED SERVICE/ LATE SHOW UP
Punctuality is extremely important when traveling with a group. Our waiting policy at pick-up is 15 minutes. If guests do not arrive within that time, it is considered a no-show and no refund will be given. This policy pertains to all our tours, including tours beginning from our property.
Any pre-booked/reserved service not checked-in for is considered a no-show and no refund will be issued.
Any reservation not used/ claimed is non-refundable.

Go for the Hot Springs!!!
The spring was excellent, just make sure when you go out, the spring is on the left, and the hot tub is on the right… Also make sure to don’t get your towels wet before actually the last rinse off water… Very enjoyable and Rebbeca was an amazing guide, we stopped by to check for auroras but it was too cloudy to see them with the naked eye… Anyways it was a great experience!!!!

Rebecca was an awesome guide for us. During our visit to Chena Hot Springs, we witnessed the Aurora and she made two stops on the way back. I really recommend this tour. If you're not sure whether they're going to cancel or not. Contact the company by calling or having a conversation with them.
