Tour Overview：

Welcome to Luray, Virginia! Today, we will explore the lovely Luray Caverns! In the caverns, we will discover the spectacular geological features of this incredible unearthly location! The caverns contain uniquely shaped Stalactites, which are located in the limestone caves! Fun fact: The Stalactites grow about one inch every 120 years! Which is truly astounding! It is a must-visit destination for anyone of all ages to explore!

Skyline Drive is up next! It is a breathtaking drive through Luray, VA! Skyline Drive overlooks exclusive scenic views of the Shenandoah National Park! On our drive, you will be able to sight the magnificent Crescent Rock, Stoney Man, Franklin Cliffs, and Harry F. Byrd, Sr. Visitor Center and much more! It is truly an adventure you will not want to miss out on!

Itinerary:

Washington D.C. → Luray Caverns (Optional, 120 mins) → Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park (120 mins) → Washington D.C.

Special notes:

1. Due to the Skyline Drive located across Shenandoah National Park, we enter from Thornton Gap and drive to north exit, this is a one-way tour and lasts 120 mins.

2. On the winding driveway on the mountains, we will stop at the overlooks to observe the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

3. We will also take an easy walk on one of the trails among the mountains. Total 45 for this trail (round trip). If the weather is extreme, the tour leader will cancel the trail trip, and add other stops properly.

4. During the period from 10/11/2023 to 11/11/2023, along the Skyline Highway, you will enjoy the poetic and colorful autumn scenery of Shenandoah National Park during the journey.

5. If the weather is extreme, we cannot enter into the National Park.

1. If the weather condition, war, general strikes, and other unforeseen circumstances interrupt the journey, our company reserves the right to rearrange the journey without refunding the tour fee.

2. Cancellation & Re-schedule Policy:

a. More than 17 days prior to departure date (EST): Free cancellation with full refund. Please reconfirm the penalty for the added hotel or flight ticket.

b. Less than 16 days but 10 days prior to departure date (EST): 50% of total purchase amount can be refunded.

c. Less than 9 days prior to departure date (EST) or on departure day (EST): 100% penalty. No refund.

d. Additional hotel bookings before or after the tour as well as other services are subject to hotel cancellation policy to determine if a refund is possible.

e. If the guest quit during the trip or fails to participate in any itinerary due to personal reasons (no travel documents, late arrival, illness, accident, etc.), the paid tour fare will not be refunded, and no other services will be compensated.

Highly recommend!

Worth it!
That tour was really almost everything i had hoped for, the only thing that i did not like is that admissions were not included, but it was really worth every penny. We really loved how well the tour was organized. And our tour guide was an amazing guy.

Great Tour
The caverns are truly a treasure and we had a perfect amount of time there. Following that, our guide took us on a great tour of the Shenandoah National Park, with many stops to view the scenery and experience a hike. The day was wonderful and I recommend the tour. Our guide, Gary, was kind and took many pictures of us on our phones—he’s an exceptional photographer so they turned out great. One hitch was that a couple returned 35 minutes late to the bus at one stop—Gary made sure we didn’t lose any tour time, which I very much appreciated (so we got back to DC a bit later than planned).

Great experience
Highly recommend to all. This time I picked one day tour. It was simply outclassed. The drive was perfect with breathtaking views, great exploration and adorable locations. I can’t explain the beauty of places in words. The driver and guide was very decent and well-mannered; they insure to satisfy every traveler. Our driver also makes quick stops as per our desire. It was an absolute pleasure
It was an absolute pleasure to visit the Shenandoah Valley. Golden Bus Tours provided us with a lot of information before we went on this 1 day tour. It was a remarkable tour overall. The trip was fun and enjoyable, the guide was very approachable and the prices were reasonably affordable.
