Portland Head Light was constructed from 1787-91 upon orders from George Washington when Maine was still part of Massachusetts. It is located in Fort Williams Park where the lighthouse keepers' house is now a museum. Portland Head Light is Maine's oldest lighthouse and is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Day 2: Acadia National Park - Boston

Introduction:

Acadia National Park

The scenic incomparable beauty of the rocky Maine coast is just one of the many highlights of the first national park established in the Eastern United States. Acadia National Park was started in 1919 as Lafayette National Park from the idea of landscape architect Charles Eliot and its name was changed to in 1929 to take the name of the French colony that Maine was once included in. Its Cadillac Mountain is the tallest coastal mountain in the eastern portion of the U.S. at a height of 1,528 feet and its carriage trails were financed and designed by tycoon John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Other notable sights in the 47,453-acre park are Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, Mount Desert Island, Somes Sound, Isle au Haut, Wild Gardens of Acadia and Islesford Historical Museum.

Tour Overview:

In the morning, follow us and take the local boat to learn about the wild marine animals, for example, the living habits of Maine lobsters. And you can watch the whole process of local fishermen catching lobsters. Then we will go to the ancient Bar Harbor. You can taste the most famous French steamed lobster, lobster ice cream, blueberry ice cream, blueberry cake and other local food in Maine at your own expense.

Worth it!
Everything about this trip was awesome, from reasonable rates to luxurious buses. The schedule was magnificently arranged and they gave us so many eating place options to choose from for lunch. Indeed, even the littlest of protestations were dealt with by our amazing guide. All in all this trip was definitely a 10/10

I went on this tour with a group of 5 friends. This company provided us a great bus experience, the hotel we stayed in was above par and we had a lot of fun visiting Acadia National Park. I recommend this trip to anyone and everyone.

Worth it!
I always use trains or hire taxis to reach places. Today in this bus tour package, I loved everything that I do not wish to return back home. This was a 2 day package and they took us to so many lovely places that we cannot imagine visiting by ourselves in this time.

Great experience
This was a very amazing and relaxing 2 day trip at the Acadia National park. The weather was perfect and the views were amazing. Our bus driver seemed to know the area very well and had a lot of interesting story to tell us about the places and occurrences in the area. This was exactly what we needed in order to rejuvenate. Try it, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Great experience
For a 2-Day inter-state trip, it usually takes lots of money. Thanks to this company generally affordable rates, I and my friends were able to travel at an extremely affordable rate. Not only that, we were travelling with a camera guy, which let us create amazing pictures of us. This company is always going to be my first preference while booking tours now.
