Anchorage was settled in 1914 and received its name from the anchorage at Ship Creek. The city is full of wildlife including many bears, moose, mountain goats, foxes, beavers, and lynx. Notable city attractions are Alaska Native Heritage Center, Anchorage Museum, Earthquake Park, Captain Cook Monument, Wells Fargo Alaska Heritage Library & Museum, Oscar Anderson House Museum, Alaska Zoo, Alaska Botanical Garden, and the Anchorage Bowl.
This tour would take approximately 7-8 hours, including hiking for 2 hours.

The Matanuska Glacier is ranked second of “49 PLACES TO GO IN THE 49th STATE” by Alaska Magazine. It has the most spectacular view between the cities of Palmer and Glennallen. It is also the largest Glacier you can reach by vehicle. The Matanuska Glacier is originated from the Chugach mountain range which you can see from the Glenn Highway National Scenic Byway in Glacier View, Alaska.
It is sunny around the area and a MUST-GO place for travelers. The weather in Matanuska Glacier is more favorable than its nearby cities because of a weather hole that allows cold air from the glacier to force the warm air up to the mountain peaks.

Change of itinerary
* If you need to leave early in the middle of the tour or have other personal arrangements, please inform us by email or other ways 30 days before the tour date to ensure the specific arrangements will be made to the itinerary. If you fail to notify us on time, we will not be responsible for any inconvenience caused by the change of the itinerary (such as delay of the departure flight, unable to visit your local friends, etc.)
* In order to protect your own property, please bring any valuable items with you at all times.
