Introduction:

Santa Barbara

A popular resort city for both Californians and beyond, Santa Barbara and the area around it have been inhabited for over 13,000 years and was the site of the excavation of the "Arlington Spring's Man" skeletal remains. Once a Spanish colonial town, the city still bears the same Spanish and Mission Colonial Revival styles of its founding alongside Victorian-style homes. It is home to a variety of festivals, including the Old Spanish Festival, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Santa Barbara French Festival, and the Summer Solstice Parade.

Tour Overview:

Depart north up the spectacular California Coast to the first stop in Santa Barbara. Visit a Spanish Mission and learn how these religious outposts were key in the development of the entire region. Continue to Solvang, a quaint Danish community to browse in the local shops. We head north to the world-famous Route #1 where we get to see the spectacular California coastline up close (small vehicles will travel the southern portion of route 1 while full size coaches will travel the 17-mile drive exclusively). After our visit we visit the town of Carmel home to the actor Clint Eastwood. Enjoy some free time to stroll in town before departing to reach our hotel for overnight.

We start our tour at the Fisherman’s Wharf with a cruise in the world-famous bay, On the way to Sausalito we will have great views of both the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. Next, we return to Pier 39 for a leisurely lunch before an afternoon tour that takes in all the city’s famous landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Union square, Chinatown, and Nob Hill. Grand Canyon

Actually two separate parks, the Grand Canyon is divided into the Grand Canyon National Park which houses the North, South, and East Rim, and Grand Canyon West Rim which is managed by the Hualapai Nation Reservation and features the thrilling Skywalk. Tour the park by land, river, or air with the best in Grand Canyon tours including the famous Papillion helicopter tours and Pink Jeep tours. We start the day traveling South East through the desert and the through the Navajo Indian reservation before we come to the South Bank of “One of the 7 wonders of the world” the Grand Canyon. Tour along the south bank and learn how throughout the years the Colorado river carved its way down to the sea and created the wonderland for geologists. After lunch we continue along the canyon east stopping at some of the many Indian market places to browse the handmade arts and crafts. Day 6: ANTELOPE CANYON – BRYCE CANYON

Introduction:

Antelope Canyon

The popular prismatic slot canyon is located on Navajo Native American land near Page, Arizona and is divided into upper and lower sections. Antelope Canyon was shaped by rainwater erosion of Navajo Sandstone and is only accessible through a guided tour. Often referred to as Corkscrew Canyon, this beautiful natural attraction features a rainbow of colors making it a favorite locations for photographers.

Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon National Park is an American national park located in southwestern Utah. The major feature of the park is Bryce Canyon, which despite its name, is not a canyon, but a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos, formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange, and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views for park visitors. Bryce Canyon National Park is much smaller, and sits at a much higher elevation than nearby Zion National Park. The rim at Bryce varies from 8,000 to 9,000 feet (2,400 to 2,700 m).

Tour Overview:

We start the day where “The water runs through the rocks” as per the local Navajo folklore. We tour the lower Antelope Canyon and visit the spectacular dunes created by the wind, water and sand; words are not enough to describe these formations created by Mother Nature. After our tour we depart this amazing area and head west to Bryce Canyon home to the most amazing natural sculptures of the world.
Our tour will take us to see amazing rock and sand sculptures honed to perfection over thousands of years of rain wind and sunshine.
Experience the unique changing of the colors during the sunset from one of the vista points in the park. (may change due to changing sunset times) After the visit we head towards the town of Kanab.

Zion National Park

Utah's first national park that was established in 1919 contains a wide variety of canyons, mountains, cliffs, rivers, lakes, natural arches, buttes, mesas, forests, deserts, wildlife and parts of the Grand Staircase in its 229 square miles. Zion National Park that was originally home to the Anasazi Native Americans nearly 12,000 years ago and many artifacts of ancient life have been discovered there. Park highlights are Zion Canyon, Temples and Towers of the Virgin, Horse Ranch Mountain, Angel's Landing Trail and The Subway. It has seven trails, three campground areas, more than 1,000 plant species, 207 bird species and 67 different mammal species.

After breakfast we head into Zion Park.
This park got its name from the Mormon’s the settled in the area. They gave it this name after claiming that visiting the park is like a religious experience, the majesty of the mountains and silence of the wilderness make you feel like you have been transported to another place. Tour the park and enjoy a short walking trail along the Virgin River that runs through the park, before leaving this amazing area for an early evening arrival in Las Vegas, option for a late night return to Los Angeles.
