Day 1: New York - Watkins Glen State Park - Niagara Falls
New York City
The most populated city in the United States has many nicknames including "The Big Apple," "The City that Never Sleeps," and "The City So Nice, They Named it Twice." The culturally diverse New York City, which was settled in 1624, is made up of the five boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens and Staten Island. Tourism is a major part of the city's economy and popular sites include The Statue of Liberty, Times Square, The Empire State Building, Central Park, Ellis Island, Chinatown, Rockefeller Center, The September 11 Memorial & Museum and The Broadway Theatre District.
Watkins Glen State Park
The highlight of this Upstate New York park in the Finger Lakes region is the glen's stream flowing down a 400-foot deep gorge creating 19 waterfalls. There are three trails and 800-plus stone steps enabling visitors to get the best view of the area's natural wonders. Watkins Glen State Park was created in 1863 and management was taken over by the state in 1906. It offers camping sites, picnic equipment and a pool.
Niagara Falls
Every year this natural wonder attracts more than 12 million visitors from all over the world looking to see the gorgeous Niagara Falls. Actually composed of three massive waterfalls -Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls - Niagara Falls straddle the border between the United States and Canada. Niagara Falls tours run throughout the year, whether rain or shine or snow. Spring and summer are the most popular times to visits as the famous Maid of the Mist cruise runs seasonal and gets visitors up close and personal with the falls. However, even in winter the falls are a sight to see, as the normal 85,000 cu ft/s flow of water can become a frozen wonderland. Even with the cruise closed in winter there is still many tours of Niagara Falls, especially for the gorgeous Niagara Falls Illumination Show. Throughout there year visitors can also enjoy day trips to Goat Island, which offers sweeping views of Horseshoe Falls and Bridal Veil Falls; the Cave of the Winds tour, which brings summer visitors as close as 30 feet from Bridal Veil Falls; and the IMAX feature presentation at Niagara Adventure Theater.
We will head north to Watkins Glen State Park in this morning! Later, we are going to see the famous Niagara Falls. Overlooking American Fall, the Horseshoe Fall and the Bridal Veil Fall, you will be astounded by the deafening roar of the falls. It’s the combination of height and volume that makes Niagara Falls so beautiful.

Skylon Tower now offers the 3D/4D Movie “Legends of Niagara Falls." The Toronto and Buffalo skylines also can be observed from this mighty Niagara Falls landmark.
casa loma castle
Casa Loma is a Gothic Revival style mansion and garden in midtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that is now a historic house museum and landmark. It was constructed from 1911 to 1914 as a residence for financier Sir Henry Pellatt. The architect was E. J. Lennox, who designed several other city landmarks. Casa Loma sits at an elevation of 140 metres (460 ft) above sea level.
Due to its unique architectural character in Toronto, Casa Loma has been a popular filming location for movies and television. It is also a popular venue for wedding ceremonies, and Casa Loma can be rented in the evenings after the museum closes to the public.
CN Tower
The CN Tower is a 553.3 m-high (1,815.3 ft) concrete communications and observation tower located in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Built on the former Railway Lands, it was completed in 1976. Its name "CN" originally referred to Canadian National, the railway company that built the tower. Following the railway's decision to divest non-core freight railway assets prior to the company's privatization in 1995, it transferred the tower to the Canada Lands Company, a federal Crown corporation responsible for real estate development.
The CN Tower held the record for the world's tallest free-standing structure for 32 years until 2007 when it was surpassed by the Burj Khalifa and was the world's tallest tower until 2009 when it was surpassed by the Canton Tower. It is now the ninth tallest free-standing structure in the world and remains the tallest free-standing structure on land in the Western Hemisphere. In 1995, the CN Tower was declared one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. It also belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers.
It is a signature icon of Toronto's skyline and attracts more than two million international visitors annually.

As of 2016, Ottawa had a city population of 934,243 and a metropolitan population of 1,323,783 making it the fourth-largest city and the fifth-largest CMA in Canada. In June 2019, the City of Ottawa estimated it had surpassed a population of 1 million.
Founded in 1826 as Bytown, and incorporated as Ottawa in 1855, the city has evolved into the political centre of Canada. Its original boundaries were expanded through numerous annexations and were ultimately replaced by a new city incorporation and amalgamation in 2001 which significantly increased its land area. The city name "Ottawa" was chosen in reference to the Ottawa River, the name of which is derived from the Algonquin Odawa, meaning "to trade".
Ottawa has the most educated population among Canadian cities and is home to a number of post-secondary, research, and cultural institutions, including the National Arts Centre, the National Gallery, and numerous national museums. Ottawa has the highest standard of living in the nation and low unemployment.
Montreal
Montreal is the most populous municipality in the Canadian province of Quebec and the second-most populous municipality in Canada. Originally called Ville-Marie, it is named after Mount Royal, the triple-peaked hill in the heart of the city. The city is centred on the Island of Montreal, which took its name from the same source as the city, and a few much smaller peripheral islands, the largest of which is Île Bizard. It has a distinct four-season continental climate with warm to hot summers and cold, snowy winters

Thousand Islands, or 1,000 Islands, were formed nearly 12,000 years ago and discovered by Jacques Cartier with the St. Lawrence River in 1535. They were a popular vacation destination for many upper and middle class families, who often built homes and mansions there, during the late 19th Century and early 20th Century. The 27-mile Wolfe Island located in Ontario is the largest island.
