Since the 15th century, more than 40 Danish kings and queens have been buried here—one site with the largest collection of complete royal tombs in the world.

· Viking Ship Museum: The main exhibits are five Viking ship remains discovered and salvaged from Roskilde Fjord in 1962. The ships were deliberately sunk about 1,000 years ago to block enemy invasions.
