Day 1: Upper Antelope Canyon

Introduction:

Antelope Canyon

Antelope Canyon, located in the heart of Arizona’s Navajo land, is a breathtaking slot canyon known for its stunning, otherworldly beauty. Carved by centuries of flash floods, the canyon features narrow passageways and dramatic, wave-like rock formations that appear to dance with light. Visitors are captivated by the play of sunlight filtering through the canyon’s curves, creating vibrant orange, red, and purple hues on the canyon walls. The canyon is divided into two sections, Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon, each offering a unique experience, with the Upper being more accessible and the Lower providing a more adventurous trek. A guided tour is required, ensuring both safety and an in-depth understanding of this natural wonder’s history and geology.

Tour Overview:

Witness a masterpiece of Nature's uncanny workmanship as you embark on a visual feast. enjoy a scenic ride to the canyon where the guide explains geology, cultural history and modern issues. Upon arrival at the site you will step into the desert and enter an amazing fantasy world in stone. For photographers, with proper exposures, you can bring out the best in your own creativity. For non-photographers there is a magical new world to explore and immerse yourself in. Simply Spectacular
This is a must do in Page. What a spectacular slot canyon and a wonderful tour. Our guide was full of interesting information. Not only that, she knew exactly where to take photos for maximum impact and happily took those photos for us. A most amazing experience and we should be forever grateful to the young girl who discovered this canyon and for the Navajo for preserving it for future generations to enjoy and marvel.

Stunning!
This tour is a must! The canyon is absolutely stunning. We had Art as our tour guide, and he was very knowledgeable and was also the best photo taker around. If you are wanting that "perfect" photo, then he is your man!

Beautiful
We loved our Upper Antelope Canyon tour and our guide Carson was excellent! It can be quite the busy area but we never felt rushed. Carson took as much time as possible to share stories and history and he made sure we were aware of some special places in the canyon where light and shadows play quite creatively. Definitely recommend both the tour and the guide!
