Calgary

Calgary is a city in the Canadian province of Alberta. It is situated at the confluence of the Bow River and the Elbow River in the south of the province, in an area of foothills and prairie, about 80 km (50 mi) east of the front ranges of the Canadian Rockies. The city anchors the south end of the Statistics Canada-defined urban area, the Calgary–Edmonton Corridor.

The city had a population of 1,285,711 in 2019, making it Alberta's largest city and Canada's third-largest municipality. Also in 2016, Calgary had a metropolitan population of 1,392,609, making it the fourth-largest census metropolitan area (CMA) in Canada.

Tour Overview:

Please meet at the Domestic Claim Belt #8 (Information Centre) in Calgary Airport at approx. 2:15pm or at the entrance of Chinese Cultural Center in Downtown Calgary (facing 1st street) at approx. 2:45pm. Depart for the Rocky Mountains. Get settled at your hotel. Explore the alpine Town of Banff or take an optional 2-hour ride (must pre-booked) to see wildlife such as elk, moose and even grizzly bear.

Introduction:

Lake Louise

Lake Louise is a hamlet in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, known for its turquoise, glacier-fed lake ringed by high peaks and overlooked by a stately chateau. Hiking trails wind up to the Lake Agnes Tea House for bird's-eye views. There's a canoe dock in summer, and a skating rink on the frozen lake in winter. The Lake Louise Ski Resort features a wildlife interpretive center at the top of a gondola.

Jasper

Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rockies comprises a vast wilderness area of Alberta province defined by glaciers, lakes and peaks like 11,033-ft.-high Mt. Edith Cavell. The Icefields Parkway, a road from the town of Jasper, passes subalpine forest and the immense Columbia Icefield. Outdoor activities like hiking, camping and skiing are popular. Native wildlife includes elk, moose, bighorn sheep and bears.

Valemount

Tour Overview:

Meet at hotel lobby at 8:15am. After passing by the Castle Mountain, explore Lake Louise, with the combination of unspoiled wilderness, beautiful chateau, and snow-capped mountains. Driving along world's most spectacular road - Icefields Parkway. Passing by Bow Lake and Crowfoot Glacier, start glacier adventure to the Columbia Icefield in Jasper National Park includes Ice Explorer (adm) and Skywalk (adm). Overnight in Golden/ Valemount .

Kamloops

Kamloops is a Canadian city in British Columbia, where the North and South Thompson rivers meet. Sun Peaks Resort’s hiking trails, bike park and numerous ski runs lie to the northeast. Cougars and bears inhabit the British Columbia Wildlife Park east of town. West, above Kamloops Lake are clay hoodoos (or spires). The riverside Secwepemc Museum & Heritage Park features the remains of a 2,000-year-old village.

Fraser Valley

The Fraser Valley is the region of the Fraser River basin in southwestern British Columbia downstream of the Fraser Canyon.

Vancouver
