Day 1: USS Constitution Cruise

Introduction:

Boston

Founded by Puritans in 1630, Boston is one of the United States' oldest cities, now famous for its numerous historical landmarks and ivy league universities, among many other highlights. Want to learn more about Boston? There are numerous Boston tours to choose from. Take the Freedom Trail Walking Tour to gain a better understanding of the events that culminated in the founding of the United States: the Boston Tea Party, Boston Massacre, and the Battle of Bunker Hill. Join a Boston Harbor Tour or Boston Duck Tour for impressive panoramas of the fabled city; or head to Quincy Market to sample the local specialties, including clam chowder, clam cakes, and lobster with melted butter.

Boston Harbor

Home to one of the northeast's largest industrial hubs, Boston Harbor is also historically significant for being the site of the infamous Boston Tea Party. The Massachusetts Bay estuary was discovered in 1614 by John Smith and contains numerous islands and lighthouses. Notable landmarks are Boston Light, Long Island Head Light, Fort Independence, Fort Warren, Peddocks Island and Constitution Marina.

Tour Overview:

The adventure begins at Long Wharf, just steps from the New England Aquarium, the North End, Faneuil Hall and other popular Boston landmarks.
Wooden ship, ironside.

You’ll also have the option to disembark at the Charlestown Navy Yard for a tour of the famous ship and accompanying Naval Museum. Other highlights of the tour include the Bunker Hill Monument, the site of The Boston Tea Party, and the Old North Church.

You’ll also have the option to disembark for a tour of the famous ship and adjacent Naval Museum. Other highlights of the cruise include the Bunker Hill Monument, the site of The Boston Tea Party, and the Old North Church.
