BC Ferries is the most popular way for people to get off and on Vancouver Island. BC Ferries has two terminals that offer Vancouver Island ferry service: Horseshoe Bay and Tsawwassen. Horseshoe Bay is located in West Vancouver and most people find it the best option to get to the central Vancouver Island region due to easy access from Trans Canada Highway 1 and because it's a short 1.5 hour sailing to the Nanaimo ferry terminal at Departure Bay.

Thunderbird Park
Thunderbird Park was established in 1941 when a display of totem poles from the provincial museum's collection was set up at the corner of Belleville and Douglas streets in Victoria. In 1952, Anthropology Curator Wilson Duff initiated a pole restoration program and hired Kwakwaka'wakw master carver, Mungo Martin, as chief carver for Thunderbird Park.
Beacon Hill Park
Beacon Hill Park is a 75 ha (200 acre) park located along the shore of Juan de Fuca Strait in Victoria, British Columbia. The park is popular both with tourists and locals, and contains a number of amenities including woodland and shoreline trails, two playgrounds, a waterpark, playing fields, a petting zoo, tennis courts, many ponds, and landscaped gardens.
