Day 1: Los Angeles - Las Vegas - St. George

Introduction:

Mojave Desert

The picturesque desert spans 25,000 square miles into the states of California, Utah, Nevada and Arizona and includes landmarks such as Death Valley National Park, Joshua Tree National Park, Kelso Sand Dunes, The Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and Calico Ghost Town. The desert's name comes from the Mojave, or Mohave Native American Tribe that live there. This national treasure has so much to see including colorful rock formations, canyons, mountains, sand dunes, ghost towns, petroglyphs, gold and silver mines, wildlife, plants, ranchers and cinder cones.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas' nickname is "Sin City" and you'll find out why when you visit; the Strip is full of casinos, night clubs, indulgent pools and replicas of some of the world's most popular tourist attractions. Looking for Things to Do & Activities in Las Vegas? The city is located in the heart of the Mojave Desert. During the day you can bask by the pool, take a helicopter tour, enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet or view magnificent shows in Las Vegas such as Cirque du Soleil, David Copperfield, or the classic Jersey Boys show! Depart from Los Angeles this morning and begin our pleasant journey to Antelope Canyon! We will pass through the Mojave Desert and enjoy the barren landscape decorated by Joshua trees! We will arrive in Las Vegas around noon. After Las Vegas, we will continue our journey to St. George Utah, and stay there overnight.

Day 2: Lower Antelope Canyon - Horseshoe Bend - Salt Lake City

Today we will drive to Lower Antelope Canyon and pass by Glen Canyon, which holds back Lake Powell. Lake Powell is the nation's second-largest artificial lake surrounded by 96 side canyons. The view is absolutely stunning! Next, we will take a look at Lower Antelope Canyon (Own Expense) which is one of the Top Ten Sites in the World for photography. Finally, we will visit Horseshoe Bend and drive to Salt Lake City to stay overnight.

Day 3: Yellowstone National Park

Introduction:

Antelope Canyon

The popular prismatic slot canyon is located on Navajo Native American land near Page, Arizona and is divided into upper and lower sections. Antelope Canyon was shaped by rainwater erosion of Navajo Sandstone and is only accessible through a guided tour. Often referred to as Corkscrew Canyon, this beautiful natural attraction features a rainbow of colors making it a favorite locations for photographers.

Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe Bend is the meander of the Colorado River, located near the town of Page, Arizona, named after its Horseshoe shape. It is located in the Glen Canyon Recreational Area, 5 miles downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. Many come to see the Horseshoe Bend and overlook 42,000 feet on the Bend via the steep cliff above the meander.

Today we will depart from Salt Lake City and head east into Yellowstone National Park! First of its kind, Yellowstone is home to world’s largest super volcano and over 10,000 geothermal features. Old Faithful

This natural wonder located in Upper Geyser Basin is certainly the most famous geyser in Yellowstone National Park and possibly the world with its eruptions occurring every 60-110 minutes spewing from 3,700-8,400 gallons of hot water anywhere from 106-184 feet in the air. Old Faithful was named during the Washburn Expedition of 1870 because of its predictability of eruptions that can last as long as five minutes. The nearby U.S. National Historic Landmark Old Faithful Inn and other unique structures are located within the Old Faithful Historic District.

Yellowstone National Park

Day 5: Yellowstone National Park - Grand Teton National Park - Jackson - Salt Lake City

Introduction:

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

The breathtaking views from this Yellowstone National Park canyon are highlighted by the colorful rock formations and serene waterfalls. Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone geyser basin is more than 20 miles long with depths from 800-1,200 feet and began forming 10,000-14,000 years ago. It is situated along the Yellowstone River below the Lower, Upper and Crystal Falls. The canyon has the view points of Lookout Point, Inspiration Point, Grandview Point and Artists Point.

Grand Teton National park

More than 300,000 acres of pristine wilderness awaits visitors to this Wyoming national park that was named after the highest summit in its Teton Mountain Range and has 200-plus miles of trails. Grand Teton National Park only included the Teton Mountains and six lakes when it was created back in 1929. It expanded throughout the years to include Jackson Hole National Monument, a 35,000-acre land donation from John D. Rockefeller Jr. and more federal property. The park's habitats are alpine, forests, sage brush and rivers, lakes and ponds with 61 species of mammals and 1,000-plus species of plants. Points of interest are the Snake River, Mount Moran, Jackson Lake, Grand Teton and Murie Ranch.

Utah's capital is the state's most populated city and is bordered by The Great Salt Lake, Wasatch Mountains and Oquirrh Mountains. Salt Lake City was founded in 1848 by Mormons and contains the home base of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Skiing and other winter sports are popular during the winter with many world class resorts in and around the city and its alpine mountain peaks. Rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking bring visitors in the warmer months. Salt Lake City's most popular attraction is the 10-acre Temple Square containing the majestic Salt Lake Temple.

In the morning, we will visit the Utah State Capitol and Temple Square. The tour guide will arrange for you to take light rail or Uber or hotel shuttle to the airport, and it is recommended to book a flight departing after 12:00 at noon.
